Ethics and Best Practices in Publishing Policy

Editorial Best Practices

Plagiarism: All submitted manuscripts will be analyzed using specialized similarity detection software (Turnitin). Proposals showing more than 10% similarity with external sources—except properly referenced citations—will not be accepted.

Inappropriate authorship: Responsibility for authorship and the order of authors lies solely with the authors. The journal does not interfere in these matters and will not allow changes in the number or order of authors once the editorial process has begun.

Redundant publication: Duplicate or segmented publication is not accepted. If redundant publication is detected, the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) will be applied.

Ethical misconduct and corrections: If ethical violations are detected at any stage (before, during, or after publication), the journal will act in accordance with the recommendations of COPE, the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Council of Science Editors (CSE). Measures may include rejection or retraction of the article, prohibition of future publications by the involved authors, notification to other journals, and communication with the corresponding institutions (home institution, funders, professional associations, and ethics committees).

Originality and conflict of interest declaration: Authors must declare that their work is original and free of conflicts of interest with third parties or institutions.

Plagiarism sanctions: Authors found to have committed plagiarism—understood as total or partial reproduction of content without proper citation—will be banned from publishing in the journal for a period of 6 years.

Simultaneous submission: It is not permitted to submit the same article to multiple journals simultaneously.

Prior publication: If an article submitted to this journal is found to have been published elsewhere, the authors will be notified of their exclusion and will be barred from submitting new articles for 2 years.
